Service Status Report
Incident window: Wednesday, January 28, 2026 through Saturday, February 7, 2026
Service is fully functional. We continue to actively observe traffic and performance.
Current state: Service is fully functional. Monitoring remains active while long-term hardening updates are prepared.
Timeline
- Wednesday, January 28, 2026 - Early signs of decreased device responsiveness were observed. Service remained online, so discovery and analysis were prioritized to avoid disrupting legitimate traffic.
- Thursday, February 5, 2026, 2:00 PM - Increased traffic was observed, which led to a rolling restart of all services.
- Saturday, February 7, 2026, 8:00 AM - Traffic volume increased significantly and initial mitigation controls were introduced to reduce load.
- Saturday, February 7, 2026, 10:34 AM - Connection and transfer rates accelerated exponentially, causing service interruption and requiring larger-scale mitigation as legitimate traffic could no longer pass reliably.
- Saturday, February 7, 2026, 11:31 AM - A stronger mitigation profile was deployed. This control has remained effective and is still in place.
Impact
- Service functionality has been fully restored.
- Mitigation controls remain active to protect availability.
- Performance is being continuously monitored for stability.
Impact Scope
| System | Status | Details |
|---|---|---|
| MavBase.com | Partially degraded | The site remained online, but some areas were below 100% performance during the incident window. |
| Outgoing Communication to Devices | Not impacted | Commands and outbound messaging continued normally. |
| Incoming Communication from Devices | Impacted (historical) | Device-originated traffic was delayed or interrupted during peak attack periods. |
Next Steps
We will continue active observation and are planning service and firmware updates to fortify the platform against future events.
